We all slept in late, Walt and Bernie till 8:30 ( versus 5) followed by a leisurely  breakfast, some people head for shopping and  Robbie scores some great jewlery.  Stan and Rizzy head to bike shop and then off to massages. Walt and Steve head for the bike shop which includes new tires and heavy duty tubes. We are ready to battle the desert goatheads and blown truck tire steel belts.

Ken provides Joan and some of the group a tour of Stan and Joan's REO Speedwagon which is in the middle of a major restoration. It should show up in Napa later this year. We will bid farwell to 3 of our Road Angels tomorrow ( lost Betsy several days ago) so Doug suggested a song and Walt spent the afternoon writing an homage to our unbelievable support team- huge thanks to Joanie, Betsy, Bernie, Robbie, Julie, Liz and Ciardo( sometimes)
Road Angels
( sung to the tune of Lord won't you by me a Mercedes Benz-- Janis Joplin)
Road Angels, Road Angels won't you please find Ken
We think that we lost him around the last bend
We're climbing to Pine Valley, need to get there by 10
Road angel Julie won't you help us find Ken
Road Angels, Road Angels, it's starting to snow
Steve's got a flat and it's 20 below
Joan Opened the car door, Betsy's had cocoa too
Road Angels you got the EFI's through
Road Angels, Road Angels, Jacumba was fun
At 47 mph Brawley here we come
With tailwind behind us and burritos onboard
Snacks by the pool was our reward
Road Angels the Blythe trip was 90 miles long
pay toilets at Glamis so we just moved on
but you made us a feast measles toilet was free
Robbie without you where would we be
Road Angels sagged 3 climbs to Salome
and Westward Motel was a great place to stay
Airtream, camp fire and a room for our rigs
Chalk fairy Joanie you always got us great digs
Road Angels Road Angels it's Wickenburg today
Snakes, and roadrunners meet us on the way
there were burgers at Mecca some cervaza too
Margaritas at sunset proved Liz and Ciardo's are angels too
Road Angels, Road Angels, won't you get us through town
Tempe is massive and our maps let us down
Turn after turn and Oak Street was a mess
Road Angel Bernie, Yogi thinks you're the best
Road Angels, Road Angels, we'll surely miss you
Travelin' with sag cars and Measels was cool
the time is coming to haul our own stuff
Road angels, Road Angels we can't thank you enough!!!

We debut this song at a wonderful party hosted by Lois and Ken at their home, Lasagna, Cheescake, Cesaer Salad and 10 different appetizers. We even got a private salsa tasting from Lois neighbor Dee.
