Day 3 Jacumba to Brawley

Feeling a little dented after Betsy's gong away party but we are all off at 9:15 after refixing Steve's flat (thanks to Dave Pruit  at BikeWork-Napa for that great lesson in finding tire demons), We had to turn it inside out to fine a fine piece of copper wire sticking through. Headed up a 500 foot climb and the 10 miles of 6% downhill at 35mph. Of course  Doug caught a white freight liner and motored down the grade on I-8 to the imperial valley at  a max speed of 47 mph. then Forty miles of  flats  where we got great support from our "Road Angels" and discovered the place where all our sheetrockhere in teh US  is made-- Plasterville , CA

Tail winds  and lots of them and then lunch at a great taco spot in Seeley

55 miles later we  we are all at the Best Western Brawley, hot showers , naps, hot tubs, pool, cocktails, and fresh quacamole thanks to Lizard and we are ready for dinner at Assiago's on  E street. Nice staff,  good portions and $10 corkage ( 12 bottles can  add up). Off to bed early,  tomorrow it's 90 mile or so to Blythe (se are all  praying for a tailwind).
