Day 58 Malta to Havre

61 miles 500 ft
Brutal day, headwinds, no shoulder, 90 degree heat and lots of traffic . All day on route 2,  the hi-line. No pics cause I couldn't take my hands off the bars.

Day 57 Glasgow to Malta

101 miles 1200 ft.
Big day for all of us but for George it was his first Century. Favorable winds and moderate temp so we pushed it. Great dinner at Great Northern Casino in Malta. No smoking was just a suggestion.

Day 56 Wolf Point to Glasgow MT

54 miles 900 ft. Reached the 3000 mile mark. Lots of hysterical VB markers. Little Rocky Mountains appeared in the distance. Now that's a spray rig, could do the whole vineyard in one pass.

Day 55 Circle to Wolf Point MT

56 miles 2800 ft.
More rolling hills, big farms and huge vistas. Wolf Point is in the Fort Peck Indian based Reservation. Big storm rolled in after we finished. Cathy saw Moose and several of us saw Pronghorn.

Day 54 Glendive to Circle MT

51 miles 1200ft. Big sky and big farm country. Circle is small. Stayed in our first real Moel. Paula was very nice, food was scarce.

Day 53 Medora to Glendive

57 miles 1600 ft.
Launched at Dirt road. Headed on the " hi-line" thru Sentinel Butte. Transitioned into Montana on I-94. Saw first sunflower in bloom one mile from border. Shadowed Custer's march to little big horn. Glendive is a major BNSF  train station.

Day 52 Medora ND Rest Day

15 mile 500 ft. Rode part of park loop, great hoodoos and wild horses. Later that night had major Bison encounter. Our host,Ollie,was staging a music festival wit Corb Lund...just missed it.

Day 49 Bismark to Dickenson

100 miles for some 80 for others. 3400 ft. climbing.  Interesting yard art. Walt and Steve roll into Dickenson in record time. Oh yea we just changed timezones. 6pm monster storm rolls in.

Day 48 Napoleon to Bismarck

75 miles 1600 ft Breakfast at white maid dinner owned by Caleb and Sarah who also owned Broken Bell where we stayed. Huge storm had us running for cover. Junk food lunch and then on to Bismark.
